ABOUT
The Sunset Foundation - best known for our annual Sunset Walk - provides support to those battling cancer. The Sunset Foundation supports over 50 women, men and children each year. While monetary support is important, providing emotional support to our neighbors when they receive their diagnosis is paramount. We want them to know they are not in their battle alone.
The Walk, which started with a few women who met on the Bayside in Breezy Point to support those battling cancer, has grown into one of the largest Breezy Point events. It represents the best of our community, who support one another in times of need.
To all of us living at the beach, the sunset is personal. Many define the setting of the sun to represent the completion of a day’s work and the assurance of something that will always come. For people living and fighting cancer, that is what The Sunset Foundation will always be.
We will work tirelessly, and we will come.
Our loyalty to show up - when our neighbors are most in need - remains as dependable as the day’s setting sun.
