The Sunset Walk

The pivotal Sunset Walk walks on. Held the first Saturday of August each year on the ocean promenade in Breezy Point, it grows in leaps and bounds with participants and volunteers. Hundreds walk as one community, bonded by love for those living among us and in memory of those who have lost their battle. 

The Walk provides opportunities to sponsor signs along the oceanside, purchase raffles, T-shirts and make donations.  Community support is a blessing to patients and families. We can transform what can be a lonely place to a place filled with love and actions that speak louder than kind words.  

To all of us living at the beach, the sunset is personal. Many define the setting of the sun to represent the completion of a day’s work and the assurance of something that will always come.  For people living and fighting cancer, that is what The Sunset Foundation will always be. We will work tirelessly, and we will come. Our loyalty to show up when our neighbors are most in need remains as dependable as the day’s setting sun.
